Wound Care Panel
Multiplex molecular testing for wound care.
The Wound Care Panel detects and differentiates bacterial organisms and organism groups associated with wound infections, alongside genetic markers linked to antimicrobial resistance, using the NudgeBox® platform.
Designed for trained healthcare professionals, the test analyses wound specimens to support clinical assessment and treatment decisions alongside other diagnostic information.
What the Wound Care Panel detects
Staphylococcus aureus
Enterococcus faecalis
Enterococcus faecium
Gram-positive bacteria
Methicillin resistance: mecA / mecC
Vancomycin resistance: vanA / vanB
AMR Markers
Escherichia coli
Klebsiella pneumoniae/oxytoca
Enterobacter spp.
Proteus mirabilis
Acinetobacter baumannii
Pseudomonas aeruginosa
Gram-negative bacteria
RNaseP
Human control
Detection of resistance markers does not replace antimicrobial susceptibility testing. Refer to the Instructions for Use for interpretation and limitations.
How testing works
01
Collect and prepare
the sample
A wound specimen is collected by a trained healthcare professional and prepared using the supplied buffer, following the Instructions for Use.
02
Load
the cartridge
One drop of the prepared sample solution is transferred into the Wound Care DnaCartridge.
03
Run
the test
The cartridge is scanned and placed into NudgeBox®. The system runs the test automatically, with results accessed through the Operator App.
